Can't drag Gmail folders
Reported by Adrian Bettridge-Wiese | January 15th, 2014 @ 03:44 PM
We use Google apps for my work. When I try to re-order the folders to make the things I need more often near the top, I just get the "bonk" sound and the folder stays in the same place. I've attached video of the problem.

IMAP mailboxes are always sorted by name. A workaround is to create a smart mailbox based on the IMAP mailbox with no conditions. This can also be used as a drag target for messages since it's only based on a single IMAP mailbox.
I'll keep this ticket open as a request for reordering IMAP mailboxes. Note that reordering cannot be synchronized to the IMAP server (at least not easily) since the server does not maintain such a ordering.

Yes, I would definitely appreciate being able to order my IMAP folders arbitrarily.

+1 for reordering IMAP Folders. Drives me mad, that INBOX isn't on the Top of my folder list ;-)

I thought this feature was available in the version I was using, but I see that functionality no longer works in r5176. I can still drag and try to reorder imap folders but the new ordering doesn't stay and goes back to the original ordering...

@Ryuji: No, I have implemented reordering of IMAP accounts, but not IMAP mailboxes. This is also why I haven't closed this ticket yet.
