Adding Tags Instruction in Manual

Really liking MailMate-it's the mail client I've always been looking for.
I read the following in MailMate Help:
"Changes are committed if you hit enter (↩) and cancelled if you hit the escape key."
However, doing the above does not work for me. instead, I can assign tags if I invoke the tag field in the email, enter the tag, then hit Shift-Enter.
Is this correct, or is there an error in manual?

No, shift-enter should not be necessary if I understand you correctly. Note that the first time you hit enter then the tag name is completed. The second time you hit enter the tags are committed. Does this explain what you are experiencing?
