Behavior for "Reply".
Reported by macmath | February 18th, 2011 @ 09:44 PM
I have noticed the following behavior of "Reply".
Selecting the "Reply" button from the toolbar or striking Command-R from the keyboard results in a new message window addressed to the primary sender and with a "CC" field containing the addresses of the "CC" field of the original email.
Question: Can one have the default behavior be only a reply to the original sender but still being able to "Reply-All" if desired?
As a related aside: It appears that it is at least planned that the default headers of a new message window could be set to contain a CC field, a BCC field, and/or a Reply-to field. However the selection of this option is greyed-out. Is it just not fully implemented yet, or is mine 'broken'?
Thank you.

Detailed Reply/Reply All behavior is on the ToDo.
The option is greyed-out, because you are already seeing the default.
Change the displayed headers and you'll be able to set it as new
defaults. -

That doesn't work for me. After changing the displayed headers, using the pull-down menu in which the 'Use as default headers' shows up, and going back to try to select 'Use as default headers', it is still greyed-out.

You are correct! I'm sorry I did not check the first time.
The behavior is broken (I don't know when that happened). I never
noticed because I use the default settings myself and almost never use
the cc-field.[state:reproduced]

I'm sure it worked in an earlier version but just broke along the way somewhere. I appreciate all the work you have been doing on Mailmate. I am transferring out of Mail.app as my default and into Mailmate.
Thanks.
