Over 1000 server logins per hour

Whenever I use Mailmate, I frequently get the error from the server that more than 1000 login attempts were made per hour, and no more logins will be accepted for the time being.

This only happens when I use MailMate. I opened a ticket with my email service provider and they checked their records and confirmed that the email client is attempting too many logins, probably due to a bug.

If I do not use MailMate I do not encounter this problem.

    Certainly sounds like a bug in MailMate. Could you open the Activity Viewer (⌥⌘0) and then see if you can locate any “busy-looping” connection. If you can, could you send me part of the log?

    Also, how many mailboxes do you have in the account?
