transfer MM to a new computer

Reported by CharlieC | February 13th, 2022 @ 05:51 PM

Dear Benny I followed the steps in ticket 2467 and copied the relevant files, but it doesn't work. I tried adding a comments to that ticket and it said it was spam (which obviously it wasn't).

So I opened a new ticket (sorry if that is not the right thing to do)

Here is the text from my comment:

Hi Benny, I just tried this on my new machine and it didn't work. I copied the files and folders above and put them in the right place then opened the latest beta release of MM. This generated an error: ID 531332 found in the set $Msgs with a currently largest value of 0 (44). It gave me the option to rebuild the database, which I selected. MM then opened with no email and no smart rules or accounts from the plist file.

Do you have any suggestions please?

It sounds like there were already files in the destination folder:

    ~/Library/Application Support/MailMate/

Make sure it's empty before doing this type of migration as described in ticket #2467.
