Mailmate won't print and then crashes

Reported by Rob | February 24th, 2021 @ 04:07 PM

I attempted to print an email.

Selected it, and used File>Print... and nothing. No print dialog.

Opened email message, tried same...and nothing.

Opened email message, tried printer icon in the window...and nothing.

Then it crashed.

Repeated all of above, and it crashed again.

Got notification logs were sent to you.

Forgot to mention: I suspect, but aren't sure, that the particular email has content from a remote host that borks the printing process, although it appears OK when just viewing it after loading content. It's a reward certificate from Costco and I seem to recall having similar issues.

I just tried printing in Apple Mail and it tosses up a message progress bar saying "Generating content to print..." but it never does.

I'm having this same issue too. As soon as I hit command P Mailmate quits.

I'm having the same issue as Stephen. Command P and Mailmate crashes. Also if I try File > Print. Tested with several different emails.

Sorry about the late reply. There's a blog post on the issue here. The latest test release is currently r5772. There are still issues which means it's not ready for a general public release, but on Big Sur it's preferable to the public release -- especially if printing of course.

Edit: Sorry, ignore this, I forgot which machine I was on :) this is on Big Sur.

(Original: Printing crashes MailMate also on 10.13 for me. Is upgrading to r5772 or later the solution for older OSes as well, or is this possibly a different problem?)
