Markdown not working in 5757 (Big Sur compatible Version)

Hello!
Currently Markdown like Headlines (#) and so on does not work in the lates Big Sur Version
My system: MailMate/5757/D96601FF-C233-5B5E-A062-054D2A7847FA 11.2.1/x86_64/iMacPro1,1/36
