large emails freeze the app for a while

I regularly get spam mails 2-8Mb in size. Those mails will freeze Mailmate for a significant number of seconds (mabye 10-20). It would be fortunate if there was an option to only load the first few hundred kb of a mail and show a "load full email" button or something similar. Most of the time I just want to delete the mail promptly.
