Cursor Movement When Deleting from Mailbox

When there are multiple unread messages in my mailbox, I prefer to start with the earliest message and read forward through the them in the order that they arrived so that I do not misunderstand the context of the dialogue.
Is there an option to have the the focus move up rather than down when I delete a message? I know that I could reorder the inbox based on date received but inevitably I leave the inbox in the wrong sequence when I am done and then start to confuse myself.
I have seen and used an option in another email client but cannot find an option in Mailmate.

By option, I mean to select the direction of the focus change when a message is deleted.
