Specific inbox does not synchronize ; name in bold
Reported by Guillaume Daudin | March 7th, 2018 @ 08:20 AM
Hi,
I am using Mailmate on 3 computers. On one of them, one of my Inbox (Office 365) does not synchronize (it has 26 messages, whereas there are 167 on the server). Its name is in bold.
I have tried manual synchronization, putting offline and then online, and had a look to the Activity Viewer, but I could not solve the issue.
In tha Activity viewer, the last line are :
08:08:29 S: S18 OK NOOP completed.
08:08:29 Running IDLE (still alive checks every 11 minutes)
08:08:29 C: S19 IDLE
08:08:29 S: + IDLE accepted, awaiting DONE command.
I do not see this "IDLE" thing elsewhere.
Can you help ?
Best,
Guillaume

Sorry, IDLE has nothing to do with it. It have moved to periodic synchronizations and I still have the issue. I do not know why.

“IDLE” means that MailMate is waiting for the server to report new changes to the mailbox (this happens faster than if you use periodic synchronizations). The bold font also means that MailMate believes the mailbox is fully synchronized.
Try this for me:
- Open the Activity Viewer (⌥⌘0).
- Take the mailbox offline/online.
- Wait a bit for it to synchronize.
- Use “Help ▸ Send Server Logs”.
Then I'll review the logs.
- Open the Activity Viewer (⌥⌘0).

Thanks !
Actually, in the meanwhile I have rebuilt the database and the problem is gone.
Best,
Guillaume

Take the mailbox back to the “Connected” state since that is a bit easier to debug.
It appears the last thing that happened was that the mailbox was checked for new messages.
12:52:31 Selecting mailbox: INBOX 12:52:31 C: D43 SELECT INBOX 12:52:31 S: * 13 EXISTS
It should have 13 emails (in MailMate) at the time it was synchronized. Is that correct when you look in the GUI?

Hi,
Well, I do not remember the situation yesterday.
But today, I have 10 emails in the GUI, and I attach the following below.
So there seems to be a discrepancy between the GUI (10) and the log / server (13) ?
For example, message with UID 7213 is not in the GUI.
Best wishes,
Guillaume

Ok, we are certainly on to something. Send me the following file (using “Help ▸ Send Feedback” if you like):
/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Mailboxes.plist
Thanks in advance.
