Can't start MailMate
Reported by matthias | December 19th, 2017 @ 04:58 AM
Hello,
So I was looking for an alternative to AppleMail (something like
the old PowerMail) and stumbled over MailMate, but when I try to
start MailMate, which I just downloaded I get the message:
Could not open file which should exist:
/Users/me/Library/Application
Support/MailMate/Database.noindex/Headers/#parent-body-part.offset
And whatever option I click, I always get the same error
…
btw, it would be nice to be able to copy the error message, instead
my Mac beeps and I type ;-)
I'm still on MacOS 10.12.6
thanks

If you haven't used MailMate at all before this happened then it sounds like you have some files left over from an old attempt to use MailMate. Try deleting the following folder:
~/Library/Application Support/MailMate/
You might need this.
Let me know if that does not help.
