goToMailbox: keybinding selector erroneously clears a search, but only half-way
Reported by Yogananda | July 9th, 2017 @ 06:22 AM
Hi Benny!
Say I do a basic MailMate search for “foo”. When I do this by hitting ⌘⇧F and entering “foo” in the search field, the All Messages virtual folder is selected. If I then click on the Inbox (for example), or go to the Inbox by using the Message -> Go to Mailbox command, that narrows the search to the Inbox.
However, if instead of clicking on the Inbox, I use the keybinding selector (“goToMailbox:”, “INBOX”), then search is not narrowed — the entire contents of the Inbox is displayed as if the search were cleared out. However, the search is also not cleared out of the search field. "foo" remains in the search field, even though the search is no longer in effect. Furthermore, if I then try to execute the search again by selecting the search field (which still contains “foo”) and hitting enter, nothing happens. I must first search for something else, then search for “foo” again in order to search for “foo”
It seems to me that using the "goToMailbox:" keybinding selector when a search is active should have the same effect as clicking on the mailbox or using the Message -> Go to Mailbox command. But currently the “goToMailbox:” keybinding selector behaves differently, putting MailMate into a funny state.
Please let me know if you need any clarification here!
Thanks!
Yogananda
