Format issue with replies to HTML messages
Reported by Des Dougan | November 15th, 2016 @ 05:26 PM
I've noticed recently that when I reply to an HTML message, the recipient sees the message with all blank lines removed. I've monitored for the past week or two and it's a consistent issue.
Is this a known problem?
Here is an example (I send in plain text):
- My reply to an email I received:
Hi Chris,
So far, so good. I had some email delivery issues that advice from Warren has helped resolve. I've got a newsletter going out this morning that informs my clients of the new offering so that I can start to have conversations with them.
One point of note - it took over a week for the device to get to me. As your trial starts on the day you ship, that's a fairly significant hole in the 30 day window. I don't expect to be returning it, but wanted to mention it.

- The reply from the other party, with my message included:
We’ll add the extra time, no worries.

I believe it's a known problem. It happens when corresponding with Outlook (and possibly other email clients), because it cannot handle the HTML generated by MailMate.
I've tried working around it in the test release of MailMate: Hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane.
