Continuous download/synchronization of IMAP account --- spinning wheel
Reported by Simon Nørrelykke | April 27th, 2016 @ 09:18 AM
I have Mailmate installed on two separate OSX machines.
After some hours/days of synchronising with my three IMAP accounts
one of the machines is fine --- dowloaded some 40k messages and
relaxed.
The other machine has been showing me a spinning wheel for one of
the accounts (in the app) for 21 days and has received something
like 60GB of traffic over the past several days. The Mailmate
folder does not contain more than about 8GB though.
Restarting application and/or machine has no effect on behaviour
--- mailmate keeps receiving all the time.
But what?
How do I stop it? What is it downloading?
Other than that: Love the app and will buy it soon --- unless problem persists.

It certainly looks like something is busy-looping. You should try to see if you can locate if the issue is related to a particular mailbox in the account (expand it by holding down ⌥ when clicking on the triangle).
Also, create some logs like this:
- Open the Activity Viewer (⌥⌘0).
- Wait a bit to make sure something is logged.
- Use “Help ▸ Send Server Logs”.
Thanks in advance!
