Update to OS X 10.6.7 breaks Smart Mailboxes

The 10.6.7 was relased March 21. There has so far not been any issues related to this release. Therefore I believe your problem is not directly related to the update.
All mailboxes in MailMate are in fact smart mailboxes, but some are “fixed” to, e.g., display the content of an IMAP mailbox. This means that if smart mailboxes were broken in general then new messages would not even show up in the Inbox.
I am guessing you have problems with specific smart mailboxes which somehow fail to update. Could you provide some additional details?
Maybe send me the following file and tell me the name of one or more mailboxes that do not work?
~/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Mailboxes.plistThis could help me reproduce the problem.

Thanks for your reply. It turns out it was a false alarm. Somehow I had managed to turn threading on. Since I don't like and never use threading, it looked like recent messages weren't being allocated to their smart mailboxes.
My apologies for not noticing this.
I have very much enjoyed using MailMate since first trying it out and then purchasing it. I'm sure I will like it even more when it (eventually) has real filtering.

Ok. If you cannot wait for a GUI then it is possible to do filtering of
messages by using disk-based configuration files. Let me know if you
want me to describe this in more detail.And thanks for your support!

Thanks, Benny. I've already noticed that there is an open ticket on filtering (#102). I assume I can follow the instructions in that thread try some message filtering. I may give it a try.
(The main reason I want filtering is to deal with mailing lists. These are not high-priority messages for me, and I don't need them cluttering up my Inbox. It would be much nicer to simply have these filtered immediately into their own mailbox or into the Archive and then I can visit their (smart) mailbox to read them when I have the time.)

Yes, something like the following should do the trick. If you have multiple accounts then the messages will be moved to the Archive within each of these accounts (due to the meta mailbox name 'archive').
{ name = 'Archive ML messages'; events = ( 'selection.added' ); select = "$Inbox"; actions = ( { type = moveMessage; mailbox = archive; } ); }
