Beachball when composing emails

I've been loving mailmate, but recently I've been getting beachballs frequently in the middle of typing. It's only hanging up while composing emails and only lasts a few seconds. But, it's happening enough that it's interfering. Once it resolves it catches up on typing and all seems normal.

I'm on v 1.9.1 (5084) on osx 10.9.5

It might be a bit tricky, but if you can make a sample of MailMate when this happens then it would be useful. It can be done from the Terminal window like this:
```
sample MailMate 5 -file ~/Desktop/MailMate_sample.txt
```
Do you use signing/encryption? Do you use the preview pane in the composer? (If yes, does the problem persist if you disable it in the View ▸ Layout menu.)
