  Tags are synchronized via IMAP keywords which are supported by most IMAP servers (Exchange IMAP being the most widespread exception).

  Note that the mapping of tag names to IMAP keywords are currently not synchronised. You'll need to setup these on both machines in the Tags preferences pane. This can also be done by copying the following file (quit MailMate before doing this):

  ~/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Tags.plist

  This makes totally sense and now I can work with this as expected.

  I really start loving MailMate more and more and more. Girlfriend should be jealous :D

  That solution works for me. It would be great if there were some way of doing this less manually than editing the .plist file (and deleting duplicate entries).

  As much as (or more than) markdown editing, tags are the killer feature for me (make it so much easier to file and keep track of emails than a cumbersome folder-based approach).

  But I have four computers (two desktops and two laptops), so synching is critical.
