Does MailMate support e-mail accounts in Office 365? I was told that Postbox does not support these accounts.

It should work with the IMAP access for Office 365. The settings can be found here I believe.
It's not the best IMAP server and I think you might have to update to the latest beta of MailMate to make sure you have the benefit of my most recently implemented workarounds. You might even want to give the latest test version a try (see ticket #816).
Since Postbox works with IMAP then it is also somewhat likely to work with Office 365.
