Mailmate appears frozen

Reported by Malc Gilliver | February 13th, 2023 @ 05:54 PM

I have renamed a number of folders - and they are frozen in italics, with the spinner showing the mailbox is updating, but..
Activity viewer is showing the folder as "s28 IDLE", I can see from both "Little Snitch" and Apple Activity Monitor nothing is happening, no network or cpu work.

My internet is fine.

I can see that Spamsieve was not loading, so I unticked that - that has made no difference.

I have four email accounts in Mailmate but one is refusing to sync the folders, the emails are there it is receiving mail, but the spinner keeps going and the folder name stays in italics.

I have rebooted, disk utility etc - so far lost about three hours to this.

Help !

After leaving it all night, came to it this morning, the spinning bars were still showing, but I had received 6 spam emails over night, so closed MM down, then restarted and re enabled Spamsieve and all of a sudden it sorted itself out - no idea !

The issue is the renaming of folders, nothing else.

They are sitting there in italics for sometimes hours

I've found that with the renaming issue, quitting/re-opening MailMate often solves the problem.

    Thanks Ciaran,

That's been 50% effective is I rename a single folder, but the second I rename a couple - or move a few it just gets confused.

I'm not sure if I need to rebuild the database, but terrified it will cause havoc with signatures, inbox rules or the like, hence asking rather than blundering in.

Just noticed I didn't get an email telling me you had replied - despite that being set in my profile

Revision 5945 appears to have fixed this !

    Thanks @Benny
