'New Message' not working anymore since update on 13th of Dec 2018
Reported by Katharina | December 13th, 2018 @ 02:14 PM
Can't use 'New Message' or 'cmd N' since the update (MailMate
r5579 version).
'cmd N' is not doing anything 'New Massage' or 'compose button'
shows spinning loading icon and I need to force quit the
application. :-(

Here's the previous public release: https://updates.mailmate-app.com/archives/MailMate_r5568.tbz
I'm looking into the issue. I believe I have another user with the same problem. Do you use an automatically added Bcc header?

No, not using this. No special settings.
Thanks for the link. I now recovered my previous version via time machine. Otherwise I would not have been able to use the email application anymore.
Hope you find a solution easily.
If you need further infos, just let me know.
Using Mac OS 10.9.5. by the way.

If you have time then please try the latest test release: Hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane. Maybe keep a copy of the working version of MailMate such that you can easily switch back if needed.

5582 keeps MM from freezing, but no New Message window opens.
Whoops, no, second attempt to open a new message bring the SWoD.
This is on 10.9.5, if that matters.
Reverting to 5568...

@Steve: It does seem to be that all the reports I have on this is about 10.9.5. Have you allowed MailMate to send crash reports in the General preferences pane?

Same issue here. Keyboard shortcut for compose == instacrash. Compose icon == greyed out. Trying to get clever and using 'reply' to compose a new email shows the "select from address" as blank, and when I click on that, I get a spinning rainbow wheel of death.
Updating to 5582 has the same problem. Downgrading back to 5568 still has the same problem. Perhaps a preference needs to be reset?
This is on 10.14.1
