Workflow - move from inbox to archive on tag operation

Is there any way to accomplish this? My ideal workflow is that I keep things in my inbox as a to-do list. Once they're done I tag them. I'd like them to automatically sweep into my archive folder when that happens.

Yes, hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane to get the latest test version. Create a smart folder matching tagged messages in the Inbox. Add a rule (with just an action) to this mailbox moving to archive. (I might improve this at some point such that the rule can be added directly to the Inbox.)
