Menu bar isn’t accessible in full screen apps

Reported by Christopher Corbettis | November 17th, 2017 @ 04:18 PM

When another application is in full screen mode, the MailMate menu bar menus are inaccessible – clicking on them results in no menu, I presume because the menu isn’t above the full screen app in the window order.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Switch to anything other than MailMate that has the full screen mode.
  2. Make the window full screen.
  3. Try to access the MailMate menu bar menus.

In the attached screenshot, you can see how the MailMate menu bar menu doesn’t show above a full screen Safari window, and compare with the Backblaze and built in Wi-Fi menus.

Hi Benny, I’m not sure when this happened or who fixed it (I’m not seeing anything relevant in MailMate’s release notes), but the MailMate menu bar is now accessible in full screen. Looks like this can be closed.

    macOS 10.13.6, MailMate 6116

Hmm, thanks for the update. I didn't specifically fix this so I'm also a bit confused... We'll just quietly ignore it for now :)
