Signature logo

Reported by Rafael Pérez | December 1st, 2014 @ 05:59 PM

Hello,
I am testing mailmate Version 1.8 (4576) and I feel quite happy with it. But before the purchase I need to solve the logo on the signatures.

Could tell how I can introduce a logo on the signature because after several tries through diferent ways I could not do it.

    The recommended way is to use an HTML signature referencing a server-side image. HTML signatures are described here. If you have already tried this then please provide me some more details about how it fails. You an also send me your signature preferences file:

    ~/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Signatures.plist

    Thanks Benny for you Shortly answer. The way I try is just copy the image on HTML signature box. I try another 2nd way tagging with html inside the HTML box and could be the tags are no correct. The thing that way neither work.

    If you can send a sample with the steps I should follow I am sure I can repeat it.

    Thanks in advance Benny and so sorry for my English.

    The main problem is that you are referencing a local file. As I wrote before the file must be located on a server. For example, something like this:

    Benny
    <img src="http://freron.com/images/MailMate_128.png" alt="Freron Software">

    In theory, I could allow the image to be embedded in the message, but it's non-trivial to implement and I also think it is much better to use a server side image. That way it doesn't require space on your disk, space on the server, space in the recipients mailbox, and bandwidth every time the message is transferred.

    Let me know if you still cannot make it work.

    I believe you can right-click a Dropbox file in the Finder and choose “Share Link” or something like that to get a URL for it. You should NOT put your password (or login) anywhere in this URL since it'll be part of all messages you send out.
