Crash when checking mail

The latest version crashes when checking mail. MailMate opens, begins synchronization, runs for a few seconds, then crashes.

Earlier comments on this ticket have been deleted for privacy reasons.
The problem has now been identified. 41 IMAP accounts results in the attempted creation of up to 4x41 server connections. This is more than the default limit for the number of open file descriptors for a process on Mac OS X.
