MailMate drops connection when displays are slept

Reported by Josh Dick | April 9th, 2014 @ 02:42 PM

I am running MailMate under OS X 10.9.2.

I use MailMate in conjunction with SpamSieve, and my desired workflow is to leave MailMate and SpamSieve running continuously on a computer whose displays are slept (but with the computer remaining powered on and not suspended) while I'm away from the machine.

Eventually, MailMate simply stops receiving/processing mail while the displays are slept. The issue doesn't surface simply from the act of sleeping the displays -- MailMate stays connected after sleeping and immediately waking the displays. The connection only drops after displays have been slept for an extended period of time. If the computer is actively being used, the connection never seems to drop.

This is an issue as of 1.7.2 (4161). Earlier builds had the same issue, but would show my account as being disconnected when waking the displays. Build 4161 doesn't show my account as being disconnected but has clearly stopped receiving/processing mail. In either case, I have to manually "Synchronize" the account after waking the displays in order for MailMate to start processing mail again.
