Index old mails for search

I recently switched to MailMate and I am having problems finding old mails with the MailMate search. It does not seem like MailMate has indexed old mails at all. In AirMail I find what I am looking for straight away, but in MailMate I hardly ever do. How do I get MailMate to reindex old mails so they are included in the search?

I'm guessing this is a Gmail account. MailMate does not subscribe to “[Gmail]/All Mail” by default. Mostly for performance reasons, but you can do it manually in “File ▸ Edit IMAP Acccount ▸ ...” when clicking “Edit Subscriptions”.
