Crash after using Quick Look, then sending a new message
Reported by Paul Furgale | March 25th, 2014 @ 11:36 AM
To reproduce:
Find an email with a pdf attachment.
"Quick Look" the pdf attachement. While this window is open, create
a new email (command N). The quick look window stays around but is
empty
Fill in the email and click "Send Message"
MailMate should crash.
Thanks!

I cannot reproduce this. Based on the crash report I also think it is unrelated to Quick Look, but the crash is a known unresolved problem (hard to reproduce) related to sending. If you can reproduce it then I would appreciate if you try with the latest test version: Hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane (r4118). I fixed a problem which might have triggered this kind of crash.

I updated and it still crashes over here using the same procedure. I have to hit send message twice (the first click doesn't do anything), and the message is actually sent.

Actually, I don't know if the mail is sent before crashing, or after I reload MailMate. Either way, the mail is not lost.

Thanks for the update, I'll try on Mavericks (I'm on Lion right now). That might make a difference.
In relation to the crash it makes sense that it is triggered by hitting Send twice, but a quick attempt to make MailMate crash using this information was not successful.
Double-check that you have r4118 in the “MailMate ▸ About MailMate” window.

Yes, I'm now on r4118 (it was r4025 when I first reported).
I'm on Mountain Lion 10.8.5.
