Copy as Link does not work for some messages
Reported by David Foster | August 11th, 2013 @ 12:13 PM
I've had a couple of situations where 'Copy as Link' does not seem to copy the current link to the clipboard. When I execute the command and then paste into, say, textedit, the result is what was previously on the clipboard. This bug is restricted to very few emails and there is no obvious (to me) common feature of the emails.
On a related issue, using 'Copy as Link' works fine when pasting in to many programs but never works when pasting in to a note field in Omnifocus - OmniFocus simply closes the note without pasting anything in to it. This is annoying because it means I have to paste into, for example, TextEdit and then copy and paste again from there - which works fine.

If you can send me an example email (Help ▸ Send Feedback) using “Forward as Attachment” then I can try to reproduce the problem.
I'm not sure what's going on with OmniFocus. MailMate just stores the URL in two formats on the pasteboard: As a URL and as a simple string. I'll be working on better integration with other applications and I'll keep this problem in mind.

Let me know if you have additional information about this problem. Also note that the latest test version of MailMate has experimental support for OmniFocus. You can fetch it by holding down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane (read the release notes).
