Folders not so smart yet
Reported by Thomas Hanke | January 22nd, 2011 @ 01:45 PM
(Related to #13 in a way)
-
No way (yet) to create non-smart folders other than duplicating existing ones. (I guess I mentioned that already)
-
More precisely, only 'Examples' works that way. Delete that folder and there's no way to create new non-smart folders.
-
No way to restore deleted folders.
-
No visible distinction between automatic folders (Inboxes, Drafts, etc.) and regular ones.
I'm fine with those types, e.g. no way to duplicate an automatic folder, (what's your term?) but it'd help to see a difference.

Yes, I am aware of these issues.
-
No, only by editing Mailboxes.plist directly (while MailMate is not
running). -
Noted as a feature request for more undo-support.
-
Special graphics (when it can be afforded) for the standard mailboxes
(Inboxes, ...) should help the distinction. (I use “standard” mailboxes when I think of their function and I use “universal”
mailboxes when I think of their ability to automatically show messages
from multiple accounts).
