Not sending from the selected email address
Reported by Adam Rubin | July 25th, 2013 @ 11:00 PM
For the IMAP account that I set up, I have two email addresses listed, separated by a comma. Let's say it's: adam@foo.com, adam@bar.com.
When I reply to an email that was sent to adam@foo.com, MailMate auto selects adam@foo.com as the From address. Emails sent to adam@bar.com, automatically use adam@bar.com as the From address. Fantastic!
However, when the email is actually sent, it's always sent from adam@foo.com - regardless of which address was selected. It's like the From address is being ignored.
Is this a bug, or am I missing something?

It does sound like a bug, but I cannot reproduce it. If you view the message in “Sent Messages” does it then have the wrong From address? If yes, then it is most likely a bug in MailMate. If no, then it is more likely that the problem is the SMTP server. (I think Gmail has been rewriting From addresses in the past, but I'm not sure that is still the case.)
To be able to reproduce the issue then it might help if you send me the following file (use Help ▸ Send Feedback...”):
~/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Sources.plist
Update: I just tested and I see the behavior you describe with Gmail. Is it a Gmail account? If yes, then the solution is to register the alternative address with Gmail. A quick Google search reveals this: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/86635?hl=en
