specify 'from' address and 'body' in the command line interface

It would be really cool to be able to specify a 'from' email address and the message body in the command line tool.
I have bin scripts I use to generate emails, in the past I've used AppleScript and Apple's Mail, but I'd rather use MailMate.
For the message body it might already be possible to do this but I can't figure out how.

The command line tool takes the body text from stdin (in utf-8 format), but
fromis not supported yet. This ticket tracks progress on that feature. -
