Does not auto complete Contacts from Microsoft 365
Reported by Christian Bailey | July 29th, 2024 @ 03:50 PM
Steps to reproduce:
1) Check contacts visible in Mailmate Address Panel
2) In Settings, Auto-Completion Sources: check Contacts, uncheck
headers
3) Compose new message, type first name or last name
Result: No email address appears
Expected: Email address autocompletes (as when headers are checked
as an Auto Completion source)

Please let me know if you're unable to reproduce and, if so, if a screen recording would be helpful.

Here's what I did for an @outlook.com address I have.
- Used the outlook.com web interface to create a contact.
- Used macOS settings (Internet Accounts) to add an Exchange account (I only enabled Contacts).
- Used macOS Contacts to verify that an Exchange account appeared and that it contained the contact.
- Opened a composer window in MailMate. Completion worked for the test contact.
My guess is that for you the last step fails?
If you still cannot make it work then write me via “Help > Send Feedback” and we'll compare our setups.

I recently set up a new MacBook and decided to do a clean install vs. using Apple's Migration Assistant.
Address completion is working for my address book now. I suspect the problem may have been that MailMate had lost permission to access MacOS Contacts.
Unfortunately completion is extremely slow, probably because of my 10,000 contacts. I hope there's a way to optimize that in future releases!
