Copying sn address from header

Reported by David Crippen | January 13th, 2013 @ 11:14 PM

If I get mail from two addresses and I want to send a reply back to just one, I can find no way to select the second address for reply. Clicking on it yields nothing. Won't drag and drop.

You can right-click addresses to get a menu with more options, but “Reply” is actually not one of them. I usually just reply and then alter the recipient fields if I want to do something out of the ordinary (like only replying to a cc-address).

Note the various Reply-shortcuts in the Message menu and that you can alter the default behavior of the shortcuts in the Composer preferences pane (people tend to expect very different reply-behaviors).

I'll consider this ticket a request for a “Reply” item in the context sensitive menu.

An easy workaround is to "control-click" an address in the header. This will bring down a menu allowing you to copy it, then paste it elsewhere.
