Components are present, can't integrate...

Reported by J Ruff | August 29th, 2022 @ 07:38 PM

While trying foolishly to create a back up my MailMate I definitely didn't do it correctly. Now when MailMate is launched it's a fresh version, looking like it was just downloaded.

All my email folders are still there, with emails inside.

How do I make MailMate re-see all my email folders and emails...? Re-indexing tips didn't didn't do the trick even though that seems to be the way to resolution.

I can send screenshots.

I have 90 email accounts, excessive I know, so am hoping adding the accounts manually from scratch isn't necessary.

Thanks for your hard work on Mailmate. It's the best.

Sorry for not seeing this sooner. (The ticket system marks far too much as spam.)

Most of the settings you are looking for are saved in the .plist files in this folder:

    /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/MailMate/

If you can find those files (e.g., in a backup) then we can likely recreate your settings.

Also, if you do need to setup the accounts again then the latest test release has a new “wizard” which might make it easier. Hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane to get the latest test release.
