Line width when replying to emails

When replying to an email the quoted line's widths is about 50% of the width of the composer window. If I resize the window (either smaller or larger) it gets resized to 50%. I can't find any setting in the regular or hidden preferences that allows me to adjust that. Ideally it's 100%. ;-))
Did I overlook something? What info do you need from me to solve that problem?

The problem is that MailMate was designed to be used with a fixed width font in the Composer, that is, MailMate computes the width used for wrapping lines based on the maximum width of a single character.
Note that the font is only for writing. It's not the font used when sending (which is not fixed width by default, but a non-specific proportional sans-serif font).
If this is not the issue then I might need more details or maybe some screenshots via “Help ▸ Send Feedback”.
