Sorry, adding JMAP support would be a huge task and there are so many other things in MailMate to work on. It's also a bit of a chicken-and-egg situation. There are (likely?) very few JMAP only servers, but there's a lot of IMAP only servers. (Most users will not care if MailMate uses one or the other to communicate.)

I know at least from Fastmail that they have JMAP running. Their web front end talks JMAP to the server. There are first JMAP clients (in very early state) that at least talk to Fastmail.

Of course, I cannot estimate the implementation effort. But JMAP has a few nice features. It is probably much faster and it also includes the *DAV functions. And the implementation should be "easier" insofar as it is more cleanly defined and there should be no ruined server implementations at the moment. In other words, you can implement against the reference.
And maybe it doesn't hurt to have been there early on. I think we'd all be glad if there was a (free) counterweight to the awful Exchange in the form of JMAP yesterday rather than tomorrow. :) And that will only happen if people develop for it.
I don't want to put you under pressure, BUT... ;)
Ich kann aber verstehen, wenn du dir diesen schuh erstmal nicht anziehen willst.

Oh, wow… This spam filter is a real pain in the ass. It seems to let real spam through more often than real posts. Fascinating. It's like it thinks it's reverse day. :)

You are welcome to put me under pressure, but there's simply too little to gain from adding support. On the contrary, the time spent on this feature could easily kill future development of MailMate (that almost happened when I spent most of my time making MailMate work with Gmail, but in that case it was a feature needed by very possibly more than 50% of existing/future MailMate users).
And yes, the Lighthouse spam filter is currently very painful.
