Copy paste to iCal does not work

Hi,
Since the installation of Monterey (12.0.1), I do not seem to be able to directly copy/paste from Mailmate to iCal. When I try I hear a "ping" sound and it does not work.
Mailmate version is Version 1.14 (5831).
It works if I first paste in another application (iWriter in that specific case) and then paste into iCal.
Any help would be appreciated !
