Google auth using Benny's personal account

Reported by Florian | December 14th, 2020 @ 12:07 PM

Using r5751, I've just got asked to authorize my Google account. The browser that's opened asks me to login with "MailMate" and not Google and clicking on the MailMate link, a private GMail address of Benny is displayed as Developer Info and that it'll redirect to a localhost address.

I was unable to login using my standard email address (it got refused during the initial account name step) and since then, I'm not able to trigger the auth flow again.

It's probably related to a current downtime of Google login services, so most likely not a MailMate issue.

I agree. I was actually working on OAuth-code with respect to Office365 when this happened and I thought I had somehow broken how it worked with Gmail. I tested with several earlier versions of MailMate before realizing Google was down... 🙄

The email address you see is the one used when I registered MailMate with Google (which is a non-trivial process). I'm not a big fan of that being displayed as part of this Google issue, but I don't think I can do anything about it...
