Manual on Rules

Hi. I need to create a rule that will look for a specific word in the message body and then delete that email. I went to add a new rule but I don't see a choice for message body. Most of what is in the pull down is unknown to me. Quoted Text vs Unquoted text? No idea. So I went to the manual and there is nothing that I could find that explains, step by step, what you can do with rules. All I get is a paragraph in Mailboxes that says I can create rules. Where can I get the step by step information that will let me know what each choice is?

It has been 24 days since I posted this. I think it's a fairly simple question to answer. Is there a detailed explanation on how to set up rules? There is none in the manual, only that rules exist. If it is in the manual, please let me know where.Thank you.

Sorry about the delay and the lack of detailed documentation of rules.
The best way to play around with conditions is to either use “Edit > Find > Mailbox Search” or a new smart mailbox where you edit the conditions. That way you can get a “live” feedback on what is actually matched in a given mailbox. It makes it much easier to debug any issues than if you work directly within rule conditions.
You are likely looking for “Unquoted text”. This is the text that MailMate finds in the plain text part of an email which is not prefixed by one or more
>characters (which is the standard for quoting text in emails). This way it won't match if a word only occurs in quoted text, e.g., within the quoted text of a reply.I hope that helps.
