Markdown/HTML rendering problem

How to see the problem:
- Create a message containing this report. Just copy and paste.
(See the preview area. You already see the problem. The numbers at
the left are already chopped off.)
- Send it to yourself, and possibly a bunch of your debug email
recipients.
- See the sent copy using MailMate, and also with Apple Mail, etc. How is the message rendered?
The numbered lines are rendered in HTML correctly, but not displayed correctly in MailMate.

When copying/pasting, the numbers at the left get left out. You need to type them back in...
