Counter alert sound doesn't respect Notification Center's "Do Not Disturb" flag

When an alert sound has been set in the "Counters" preference group, it always plays that sound, even if I've engaged "Do Not Disturb" in the Notification Center. I believe that correct behavior would be to mute alerts while "Do Not Disturb" is engaged.
