spamsieve not working

MailMate Version 1.13.1 (5671) / OSX 10.15.3 (19D76)
When I attempt to enable SpamSieve, it disables itself, e.g.—
- Enable via Preferences->Security->SpamSieve: Enable
- Select a single message or multiple messages and perform Message->Junk State->SpamSieve->Evaluate
- Observe that no value is populated in the SpamSieve column
- Observe that Message->Junk State->SpamSieve->Evaluate and Recalculate are now greyed/disabled
- Observe that going to Preferences->Security->SpamSieve: Enable shows that SpamSieve has been disabled
