Sort by unread doesn’t work correctly when organizing by thread

When I sort by unread in a mailbox list that has “Organize by Thread” enabled, I notice that when a thread has its “root” marked as unread, it is not moved to the top of the list when a “child” message is unread. My expectation is that the thread should be moved to the top of the list.
