Can't Setting Flag on First Message in Mailbox

Weird new behavior after last update. I can no longer click to set/unset a flag on the first message in the list in any mailbox. I can set it via the Flag button in the toolbar. Can set flags by clicking it next to the message on other messages. Can send video of it, if helpful.

I also have this problem and can confirm that the problem started with the latest version (1.12.5).
