De- and Encryption not working

MM neither en- nor decrypts messages.
when trying to encrypt I always get this error,
“Signing or encryption failed for unknown reasons.”
trying to decrypt shows:
“Unable to decrypt OpenPGP message. Verify that you have the
key necessary for decryption.”
- I first reinstalled the last version of GPG Suite
- I checked encryption and decryption via the service menu and this works without flaw.
- the Activity viewer shows nothing.
My system: MailMate/5609 MacBookPro10,1/x86_64/8/10.12.6
