extra line displayed in message view for some sent messages

I noticed that for some sent messages, where the raw view dispalys

Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed; markup=markdown

the message will display an empty line at the top, see 1st screenshot, above "Esse qui,"

messages where the raw view is
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8; format=flowed
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit

displays correctly, see 2nd screenshot, see the line "est ut, ..."

update: also reproducible when preview is turned on in message compose view, and switch between plain text and markdown
