Grey gradient on Mojave
Reported by Andreas Jung | November 5th, 2018 @ 06:15 AM
See screenshot.
There is a light grey gradient on the folder listing since I
updated to Mojave (Version 1.12.1 (5552)).
Where is this coming from and how can I disable it?

the screenshot isn't loading for me (404 error), but is it because of the transparent folder list maybe?
I also find that on Mojave in light mode when Mailmate is displayed over another app with a dark back background - MailMate's semi-transparent folders list makes its coloured icons look weird and unpleasant, as they don't stand out well over darker background. OSX's own Finder fairs much better as it has grey icons, instead of coloured ones.
Here's how MailMate's sidebar looks in this scenario: http://f.falsum.me/2c661972eedb
and here's Finder's sidebar: http://f.falsum.me/e268cc562449I second Andreas's question about disabling the transparency - or is there a way to replace the icons used in the folder list to make it look better?

- State changed from new to accepted
The mailbox list more or less matches the style of Apple Mail. I did try to make a quick hidden preference to disable translucency. Unfortunately it wasn't as straightforward as I thought it would be, but maybe it's “good enough” for you in its current state:
defaults write com.freron.MailMate MmMailboxListSourceListStyleDisabled -bool YES
You need the latest test release: Hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane.
I'll probably give it another go at some point, but it won't be soon.
@Oleg: Yes, non-colored icons would likely work better. I think this trick still works for replacing icons manually.
