Is there no possible way to use this with Exchange accounts?
Reported by Ashley Creighton | August 14th, 2018 @ 05:40 PM
Loving this app so much and want to purchase it but need some way to use it for my work's Exchange account.
I can't enable IMAP on my Exchange email account because I am the administrator (MS won't allow administrators IMAP for security reasons).
Is there any other way?

I believe some users have had success with DavMail. A more robust solution is to forward all emails to an IMAP account and then use the Exchange SMTP to send the emails using the Exchange email address (that way your correspondents cannot see your workaround).
That's the best I can tell you.
Thanks for trying out MailMate!
(The “bluesky” state is for the implicit request for native Exchange support.)

The desktop version of DavMail unfortunately crashes more often. I installed the server version locally via brew, which runs very stable. In the last 2-3 months I haven't noticed a crash.
The conversion between IMAP keywords and Exchange Categories works fine. Simply, as usual from IMAP, map the tags to the keywords/categorys.
Somewhat annoying is the fact that MailMate becomes active faster than DavMail when the computer wakes up. MailMate then reacts with 2-3 error messages. I have already created a ticket for this.

@Ashley: Microsoft recently added OAuth2 support for IMAP/SMTP for Office 365 accounts. I don't know it that might somehow be related if that becomes more widely available for Exchange servers. (MailMate has experimental support for OAuth2 for
smtp/imap.outlook.com
in the latest test release. More about that in ticket #1871.)I'll keep this ticket in the bluesky state to indicate that there are no plans to add native Exchange support.

A quick comment to Mikes comment.

Am I to understand Mailmate can work with Exchange Categories, i.e Mailmate Tags can match with Categories so if I tag an email in Mailmate it will show up as a Category on Outlook??
