LaTex math support in dark mode
Reported by perizoqui | July 5th, 2018 @ 02:18 PM
Hi @Benny,
When typing the following message:
~~~texmath
{\frac{-b \pm \sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}}
~~~
The preview pane on the bottom of the composer window shows white text on a white background box, making it impossible to see what's going to be sent.
When I send it, it comes through on the other side looking fine, with white text on a white background.
One detail: \pm prints &pm rather than the plus/minus symbol as it should.

I assume you meant “black on white” when sending messages. This is expected behavior since the dark mode only affects what you see and not what you send.
I've noted to look into this the next time I fix Mojave issues (might not be soon).
The
\pm
issue sounds like an issue with the bundle used to do this. You are welcome to look into that yourself.(Always nice to know that some users actually use the math features :-) )

Hi @Benny,
Yes, typo, the received email shows black on white. But when sending the preview shows white on white, so I can't see what the equation will look like. Thanks for looking into it.Will look into the bundle to explore the \pm issue.
Thanks!
