Error moving current version
Reported by jos (at dagaz-coaching) | March 5th, 2018 @ 06:20 AM
I am getting Error moving current version
when I want to install the latest beta version as I have MM disconnecting from one email server all the time. I was hoping this would solve the issue when updating to the latest beta.
What can I do to prevent this message too come up. It blocks the update.
Jos

Delete “MailMate.app” in “Applications” and fetch the latest release manually here instead: https://updates.mailmate-app.com/archives/MailMate_r5461.tbz
You do not lose any data doing this.
Sorry about the inconvenience. MailMate does not handle it gracefully when there are write-permission-issues during an update.

Just did all that. Download and unpack work as expected. Move to Applications works well too.
From Forklift I cannot start MailMate. Tried the same from Finder. Finder gives error# -47. Mailmate never starts.

Hmm, error -47 is a bit strange since it's a “file is busy” kind of error. That seems to be unrelated to MailMate itself.
Have you tried rebooting the machine?
